Impressive win by Inst Seconds

COLERAINE Inst Second XV gave a very mature performance in their 17-5 victory over a much larger Omagh side.

The handling from both sides was excellent considering the wet conditions.

Coleraine were in control right from the kick off and scored early through Andrew Thompson. Captain Conor Nicholl and Colin Henry gave the team a lot of forward momentum and it was Conor who broke through the Omagh midfield to score.

Thompson added the extras to leave it 12-0 at half time. An excellent catch at a lineout by Simon McLean was followed up by a driving maul which ended in a score by McLean in the corner.

Omagh pulled a try back but failed to convert. A number of subs got their first run out of the season and all contributed to Coleraine finishing the match the stronger team.
