In-form Peter wins the Thursday Open

PETER Hillen won the Open Stableford last Thursday.

Peter, who plays off a 12 handicap, has not been happy with his game over recent weeks. He is normally a sound striker of the ball but, for whatever reason, his form had deserted him.

But it returned, big time, last Thursday, as he came in with 44 points, the equivalent of a nett 61. Needless to say, Peter is now back to his normal confident mood.

Timothy Hodgett (6) chased Peter all the way and he took second place with 43 points. This young man looks like a star in the making.

Ian Livingstone (10) continues his run of good scores. He was third here with 41 points.

And it was a memorable week for Alan Dale (12), who had 40 points on Monday and 41 points on Thursday. The ups and downs of Alan’s game never cease to amaze me. Thankfully, he has more ups than downs.

Tom Mulholland, the playing captain of the Sam Rutherford Cup team, won the best gross with a 71. His team have a match against Silverwood coming up and Tom will be hoping that the rest of his players are playing as well as he is himself.
