Inbetweeners cut deficit as leaders Michelin drop points

Michelin Masters saw their lead at the top of the Ballymena Towers Pool League cut after they were held to a 3-3 draw by The Diamond Dazzlers in the latest round of matches.

Diamond Duffers 1, Towers Tavern 5: Towers won the first tow games without dropping a frame through James Millar and Allister Law.

Drew Sloan and Shane Moody extended the Ballee side’s lead to 4-0 before Diamond pulled one back with a 2-1 win for Ryan McCarroll.

But Towers had the final say when KD Crabbe defeated Ryan McGirr in straight frames. POM - Ryan McCarroll.

Might Moat 4, Fairhill Hustlers 2: Michael Thompson set Moat on their way by defeating Paul Hayes and Alan Rainey increased the lead when he beat Richard Campbell after being one frame down.

Daniel Magill made it 3-0 for Mighty Moat before Fairhill started a come back by winning the next two games through Justin Kilpatrick and Robert Graham to make the match score 3-2. Colin Taylor settled Moat’s nerves, however, by winning the final game. POM - Colin Taylor.

Connolly’s ‘A’ 1, Inbetweeners 5: Inbetweeners were 3-0 up through Brian Hannaway, Gary Ormandy and Phil Houston before Connolly’s pulled a game back with a win from John McAllister who had to come from being one down to beat Gareth Rowe.

But the Minnesota-based side clinched a convincing win through Paul Francey and Dessie Cooper. POM - John McAllister.

Michelin Masters 3, Diamond Dazzlers 3: Mary-Joe McCourt marked her league debut for Michelin by beating Robert Artt but Diamond levelled through Malcolm Graffin.

Michelin regained the lead through David Armstrong only for Diamond to once again restore parity through Chris Gordon.

Diamond went in front for the first time through Adrian Rourke, but Brian Hanna rescued a draw for Michelin by beating Ian Boal in the final game. POM - Adrian O’Rourke.

Fairhill Dreamers 4, Moat Mad Dogs 2: Sheree Agnew Tufts got Moat off to a good start but Nigel McMaster levelled for Dreamers when

Wins apiece for Sean Brannigan and Richard Bamber left the scoreline deadlocked at 2-2 before Fairhill pulled clear in the closing games, thanks to Ian Dewar and Linzi McClelland. POM - Sheree Agnew Tufts.
