Sixteen teams took part with some intriguing first round ties with The Girls team of Karen Millar, Tish McCusker and Martina Power narrowly losing out to the INF C team of Tommy Farren, Christy Gribben and Sharon Duffy. There were also wins for Eire Og A over Trojans B, Clann Eireann A over INF B, Vintage A over Eire Og B Stables A over Drumgor, Vintage B over Clann Eireann B, Celtic over Trojans A and the INF A who came through a tough last round 1001 all in decider against Drumgor A.

The quarter-finals were up next and the Eire Og A team progressed after Paul McGahan won the singles and Micky Dunwoodie and Hugh Heaney took a last leg decider and Joe McCabe in the doubles for a 2-0 win. The second quarter seen the Stables A win through against the Vintage A after Peter Morris won the singles before Hugh Campbell and Michael Lamb won 2-0 in the doubles.

It was a battle of two INF teams in the third quarter final as the INF A and C teams met. Dave McCusker put the A team in front as he won the singles 2-1 before Paddy Magill and Terry Morrow were pushed all the way by Sharon Duffy and Christy Gribben only for their experience to tell as they hit their doubles for a 2-0 win. The INF A teams opponents were to be the Celtic as they went through their quarter final match winning the 1001 all in game after Adrian Hutchinson beat Kevin McNeice 2-0 in the singles before the Vintage levelled it with Brian McCavigan and Oliver Toland winning both legs in the doubles.

In the semi-finals the INF were the first team to reach the final after a tight game against the Celtic. Terry Morrow took the opening leg before an excellent 103 checkout in leg two by Gerard levelled it. It was Terry who took the opening point for the INF though after a 17 dart last leg win. The pairs went all the way too as Dessie Dunbar and Adrian Hutchinson won 2-1 but the Celtic men took it all the way after winning leg three. The last leg was close but when Gerard Crewe was on a 28 finish the pressure was on Dave McCusker to take out 86 and that is exactly what he did to put the INF into the final.

The second semi-final was over after four legs with Michael Lamb and Peter Morris getting the better of their Eire Og counterparts in the doubles and Hugh Campbell winning 2-0 in the singles. wIn the final Dave McCusker was in top form to win the singles 2-0 to give the hosts the lead and Paddy and Terry were able to pull through a tight pairs game over Peter and Hugh by 2-1 to secure the win and give the INF their second trophy in two weeks .
