Inst through to quarter finals

Josh Robinson was the hero again with a nail biting victory at the last hole to secure victory.

The results were as follows:

Match 1: Christian Grossie Regent House Won 1 up.

Match 2: Simon Currie CAI won 3&1.

Match 3: Andrew Thompson CAI won 2&1.

Match 4: Stuart Thompson Regent House Won 3&1.

Match 5: Cameron Fulton CAI won 5&4.

Match 6: Josh Robinson CAI Won 1 Up.

Match 7: Callum Ferguson Regent House Won 3&2.

Meanwhile, the Inst Senior Golf Team travelled to Oulton Hall in Leeds to compete in the Independent Schools Golf Association Finals on April 24.

Over 50 teams competed in the regional sections with only 16 qualifying for the Finals. CAI defeated Campbell College in the Regional Final to book their place in the National Finals.

The Inst team consisted of Adam Brown, Stuart McCaffery and Christian Grossie.

In the team competition they managed to finish a creditable 12th in Britain and Ireland in a competition of incredibly high standard.

Adam Brown was the highest Irish competitor in 24th place overall.
