It was alright on the night for Islanderry anglers

A GOOD night was had by all at the recent all night competition and BBQ at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore.

Seventeen year old Dean Kirk from Balllynahinch landed a lovely trout weighing in at 6lb 4 of the jetty to help give him the winning bag weight of 12lb13 for four fish. Dean was fishing a cats whisker.

A close second place went to Paddy Brunty, Belfast with his four fish weight of 12lb11.

Third place went to Paul Laffin, Hillsborough with his four fish weight of 11lb3. Paul returned a total of 12 trout throughout the night caught on hares ear.

Due to popular demand there will be another all night competition and BBQ held at the fishery on Saturday 14 August running from 7pm-7am. Again, both lakes will be fished if bank fishing and the main lake for boat fishing.
