Italian job for Bradley

The Year 10 pupil, pictured below with principal Mrs. Jacqueline Stewart, recently represented Northern Ireland in the Unified World Championships in Tuscany, Italy.

After taking bronze in the ‘Mats’ event, he went on to win the ‘Ring’ event, defeating an Italian opponent to claim gold.

Next year he’s set to travel to Scotland to fight for the world title and everyone in Downshire School wishes him well.

Mrs. Stewart, said: “Everyone is very proud of Bradley and what he has achieved. It is fantastic to see hard work and dedication rewarded in this fashion. “
