It’s an all-white day for Eggie Anderson

The sun was shining, which meant a few brave men decided to bare the legs to see the sun!

The first tee featured OOB down the right, plus David Sterritt placing the fine box on the tee made many flirt with danger.

Most stayed in play and coins stayed in pockets for a while longer.

Longest drive was first up at the sixth, with no one able to match Christopher McGladdery’s ‘monster’ drive to well within wedge range onto the green.

‘Cricky’ was that confident he even kept the long drive trophy at home.

Closest to the pin came on 11th, a tough to judge downhill par three. Many landed short but not Stuart Singer who walked off with the plaudits.

It should also be mentioned that Cricky nearly bagged a hole in one and tapped in for a two on another of the par3s, filling the wallet with £22, which wouldn’t have covered the round if the ball had gone in!

Onto the competition itself and 2014 league champion, Al Day, dressed like Rickie Fowler, came home with 37pts.

One ahead was March winner, Andrew Parr but two players were in front.

Richard Coburn playing in his second Lost Boys event returned 39pts off 12 and as seen many times last year, the back nine is where you can win the day.

Craig ‘Eggie’ Anderson did that to beat Richard on countback to lift his first monthly lost boys prize as well as a free round next time out.

Round Four takes place on Sunday 17th May at Kilkeel Golf Club, tee off at 10am
