It’s four victories from four as Linfield see off Carrick Golf Club ‘B’

Linfield remain top of the Larne and District Snooker League after they pocketed their fourth win out of four - this time beating Carrick GC ‘B’ away.

Raymond Forsythe, Willy Stewart and Billy Parke made sure of victory, taking Linfield to 14 points. Mikey Jones and Harry Wade won for the golfers.

Latharna sit a point behind after they grabbed their third victory with a 3-2 away win over Carrick GC ‘A’. George McGregor, Neil McFayden and Raymond Weir (28) were all on target for Latharna, with Ricky Bradley and Stevie McLoughlin winning for the hosts.

Ballyclare ‘A’ also sit on 13 points despite a 3-2 defeat at St John’s. Stevie Higgins (29, 21) and Darren Agnew with a 30 were on form for the golfers. G. Hunter (22), Alex Robertson and Damian Todd provided the response for the Mill Brae side.

Ballyclare ‘B’ are one behind on 10 points despite having a bye this week and will be happy with their start to the new campaign.

St Comgall’s, who have only played three games so far, ran out 3-2 winners away at Greenbank ‘B’ in Sunnylands. Shaun McAlister (31), C. O’Toole and B. Pill all won, with Roy Johnston and Billy McNeely notching frames for the Carrick men.

Ballylumford suffered their third defeat of the season losing at home to Greenbank A. Jim Magill continued his good form with another win for the host team, with Pete McCaffrey, David Johnston, Boydie Hawkins and Wayne Harper all recording wins for the Carrick side.
