Ivan takespart inTenerifeevent
Aghagallon man Ivan Lavery recently entered the Tenerife Cycling Volcano Tour in a race of 180 cyclists.
The race started in Arico and finished in Los Cristianos with humid and hot conditions touching 26 degrees in which they covered 130km with the highest climb of 3300m.
Ivan stayed with the pack until he suffered a bit of cramp 36 miles in, but continued onto finish a creditable 69th.
