James helps NI team to bronze medal victory in Wales

Fit N Running athlete James Wallace won a bronze medal in Cardiff on Saturday as part of a six man Northern Ireland team at the British & Irish masters championships.

On the day of his birthday ,James ran a career best time of 29mins 4secs over five miles on grass.

Originally from Ballymena, James – who now lives on the outskirts of Moira – joined his home town club two years ago and hasn’t looked back since.

During that period, the evergreen runner has produced an endless string of personal bests at all distances.

Now in his 17th year of athletics, Saturday’s success marks his career highlight and is just reward for his dedication over a long and sustained period of time.

Fit N Running, who are based at the Michelin Athletic Club, train four times each week and offer the full compliment of quality training.

Monday at 6.15pm is an easy paced run with three different levels of groups.

Tuesday at 6.15pm is advanced level

Wednesday at 6pm is strength conditioning training in a circuit format.

There is also a weight-loss group on Wednesday evening.

Saturday morning session are dedicated to long runs and start at 9.15am.

There is now a juvenile group taking placeon Tuesday evenings.

New members are always welcome.
