Bertie Peacocks won the James Elliott Charity Cup while Limavady Youths lifted the James Elliott Charity Shield.

In the special tiny tots game, Stranocum Youths beat their rivals the Tigers.

A large crowd of spectators turned out to support all those taking part, with burgers, crisps and minerals laid on.

The organisers wished to thank everyone who took part including referee John Wilmont, Gillian and Alister Wilkinson for the use of the pitch, Ballymoney Council for the nets, cutting and marking the pitch, Alister Jamieson for putting the nets up, Stranocum Youths for sponsoring the tiny tots’ medals and the Elliott family who provided the Cup, Shield and Medals.

The money raised will go to the Community Rescue Service.

As winners of the Cup, Bertie Peacocks will select the charity for next year’s tournament.

The Elliott family wished to thank everyone for their support, in particular William and Lorraine McConaghie who organised the tournament.

“We can’t say a big enough thank you to everyone who came along and supported on the day,” said William and Lorraine.

“It was a fantastic day from start to finish with over 500 raised for a great cause.

“This was the first year of the event and I’m certain it will get bigger and bigger each year.”
