Jeff gets the point for Lagan Valley

Jeff Fawcus got the only point for Lagan Valley when they lost by 22 shots away to NIBA Division Five title chasing Antrim.

Fawcus was 10-9 ahead at the tenth and completed winning eight ends in a row by leading 16-9 at 15 ends before going on to win by 11 shots.

At the tenth Wilfie Benson was 7-10 down and 11-14 at 15 ends but he lost four of the last five ends to go down by ten shots.

Ahead 8-6 at the tenth but 10-12 down at 15 ends Jim Kinkead was then level at 15-15 with an end left but Valley dropped a three.

Dromore B are still involved in the NIBA Division Five title hunt following a 37 shots home win over Newry from which they took six points.

Meanwhile, Dromore’s NIBA Division One match at Banbridge was postponed due to an Irish Cup semi-final being played on the Banbridge green.

Ahead 9-7 at the tenth and 13-10 at 15 ends Derek Burns stayed in control to win by five shots.

At the tenth Alan Sudlow was 14-4 up and 22-6 at 15 ends before getting a decisive win by 24 shots.

Down 4-11 at the tenth and 6-15 at 15 ends Tom Sudlow came back to lead 18-16 with an end to play but Dromore dropped a three.

Ahead 12-5 at the tenth and 17-14 at 15 ends Sammy Malcolmson had a good finish to win by nine shots.

Malone went down by four shots and took two points in an entertaining Private Greens Senior Three game at home to Saintfield.

Frazer Thompson was level 8-8 at the tenth and went on to win by three shots.

Down 7-10 at 11 ends Eric Mairs came back to snatch a single shot win.

At the ninth Terry Monro was 5-10 down but he came back well before losing by a shot.
