Jenna wins record 10th British title

Coleraine ice skater Jenna McCorkell continued her impressive form this season as she landed her 10th British title in Sheffield over the weekend.

McCorkell had over eight points to spare from Karly Robertson after producing scores of 50.05 and 73.86 in her short and free programmes.

The 26-year-old has won competitions in Graz and Bratislava so far this season.

This means she should go into next month’s European Championships in Zagreb full of confidence.

McCorkell is currently training in Dundee with UK director of coaching Simon Briggs and his wife and Olympic coach Debi Briggs.

Earlier this year, the Northern Ireland woman equalled her best ever World Championship performance as she finished 14th at the event in Nice.
