Johnston is on a roll after strong win over Carrick

St Comgall’s remain three points clear at the top of the Larne and District Snooker league after a 3-2 win against Carrick Golf Club B.

Gary Johnston was on form again with breaks of (25 and 23).

Second-placed Latharna are three points back after a 3-2 away win at Linfield. George McGregor, William Millar (49) and Gavin Carmichael (23) all secured wins.

The Point remain in third despite no match this week.

Ballyclare ‘A’ occupy fourth, despite losing 3-2 at neighbours Ballyclare Old Boys.

Q-Club ‘A’ lost 3-2 against Greenbank ‘B’. Andy Lilly and Ryan McKillop (30) won for Q-Club, but A. Adrian, Billy McNeeley and Roy Johnston made sure of the victory for the visitors.

Ballyclare ‘B’ defeated Ballylumford 3-2, while St John’s beat Greenbank ‘A’ on the same scoreline.

Q-Club failed to field a team against Carrick Golf Club ‘A’.

All clubs are reminded that a few fixtures have gone unfulfilled and teams will be fined by the league at the next meeting. If this continues to happen, teams could face elimination from the league.
