Jonathan is clear Golfer of the Year winner

THE recipient of the Golfer of The Year title has not yet been officially confirmed but it looks as if Jonathan Ward is a clear and deserving winner.

The top 20 in the table on Friday last are listed below. They were the only players, out of 325, to have accumulated in excess of 500 points.

There are a few extra points to be added for the Matchplay and the Haughton Smyth Cup but it doesn't look as if anyone is going to get close to Jonathan.
