Joy for Lagan Valley as they win thriller by a shot against Dromore B

Lagan Valley squeezed home by a shot at home to Dromore B in NIBA Division Five, taking five of the points in a closely contested game.

Dromore had been top of the table but in a closely fought division they slipped off their perch. Lagan Valley will be pleased to get the home win which eases their relegation fears. Alan Sudlow picked up a three, a five and a seven to lead 27-15 at 15 ends and Dromore pulled further ahead to win by 20 shots.

Two threes helped Jeff Fawcus to a 13-3 lead at the tenth and a five and a three gave him a 22-6 advantage at 15 ends. Rodney Malcolmson did close the gap but Dromore lost by 14 shots. Dropping three and lifting three Wilfie Benson was level 7-7 at the tenth and Valley added a five, but Tommy Wilson lifted three and four though Dromore were 13-15 down at 15 ends but came back to win by a shot.
