Judo star picks up accolade

THE University of Ulster Sports Union hosted its annual Colours Sports Awards Ceremony recently at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.

The gala ceremony celebrated and rewarded the achievements of both individual and sporting teams at the University.

The Chris Lundy Rose Bowl was awarded to Kingsley Hepburn from Londonderry, for his work with the Judo Club. Kingsley demonstrated a high level of commitment in terms of training and through his role as Club Chairperson.

Jane Murphy, Sports President at the University of Ulster Sports Union said,

“The Colours Awards is an opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate our best and brightest up and coming sports stars. The awards is dedicated to showcasing young sporting talent across a range of disciplines from team sports such as Gaelic games, volleyball and soccer to individuals in canoeing, golf and judo.”

Sport helps bring students together, make new friends and try new things and Kingsley is an inspiration to our students.”
