Junior Sky Blues club goes from strength to strength

BALLYMENA United’s Junior Sky Blues supporter’s club are gearing up for another fun-filled day next week ahead of the Ballinamallard United match.

The new scheme aimed at United’s under-12 fans has been a great success since its formation in the summer as it allows the kids to enjoy the football in a fun, safe environment whilst also giving them the chance to make new friends and meet their heroes from the team.

The kids met earlier in the season and received their new Junior Sky Blues certificates from striker James Costello (pictured).

Company Secretary Neil Coleman said “We’re delighted with the uptake and progress of the Junior Sky Blues club, they’ve started from scratch but now offer a great service to all our loyal young supporters that we never had before – these are the fans of tomorrow and we need to encourage them to support the club from a young age!

“Credit must go to the guys Ashley Shaw, Denise Nicholl and Gary Gordon who have done an excellent job setting up this club and these have some exciting plans for the rest of the season and I would encourage any Ballymena United supporter to sign their kids up immediately.”

Captain Allan Jenkins will be the guest star at the pre-match meeting at the Showgrounds and will be signing pictures and meeting all the members before the big game.

If you haven’t yet signed up for the Junior Sky Blues you can do so now by contacting [email protected] as for just £25 for the season members will have all the benefits of the Junior Sky Blues club along with a season ticket for all home league games.
