Junior Tennis Festival a smash-ing success

LAST week’s 15th Annual Junior Tennis Festival in The Peoples Park was spectacular with a total of 51 young players taking part.

“It was the most outstanding Junior event ever held,” said Fergus Barklie, Chairman of Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club.

“The weather held up for us for the whole week and our team of mostly new young coaches and their assistants were outstanding.

“The young players ranging from 4 up to 13 years of age had an astounding weeks organised fun, being coached , having competitions and amazing prizes throughout the week.”
