Juniors’ P6 squad makes an early start for Garvey trip

ON Saturday 10 November nearly the entire P6 squad of Dromore Juniors headed to Lisnagarvey on the Comber Road for an early 8.30am start.

It was a crisp, fresh autumn day with the sun shining on the enthusiastic bunch of P6 players. P7 were facing the first of the AQE exams but P6 met early to face the three opposing teams fielded by Garvey.

It was exciting for the club to have such a fabulous turnout and great support from the parents and many of the new girls who have only been playing a matter of weeks shown how their skill level has increased brilliantly and they could use their skills in a match situation. Each club had three teams so it was a full on hour’s play but only beaming smiles afterwards.

A great performance as the club pulled four wins, three draws and only dropped two games to come out on top.

A great result as the club continues to grow and the development and planning for junior squads pays off.

The girls sported the new kit which had just arrived and well done to them all.

The level of sportmanship and camaradrie matched the great play. Thankyou to coaches, umpires and parents for making the early start - well done girls!
