George and a Lakeland Wheelers rider broke the mould as they rode away from a 70 man field to secure George’s first ever podium placing on his 3 rd Open race. The Dalriada junior was a comfortable finisher at the Phoenix GP at Dundrod. This result has already put George into the spotlight of the Ulster selection panel headed by Peter McBride with a squad going to a training Camp over Easter. BCC’s Robbie Doherty will be travelling down to this over the Easter weekend. Aaron Swan showed his talent again and his nose for getting into the winning break as he along with 6 others slipped away on the steady climb towards Carrigans and was only outsprinted for the top 3 placings by professional and former pro riders having to settle for 4th on the day. Swan is along with team mates Ryan Bankhead, Craig McAuley, Chris McKeown and Steven McAllister piling in the miles for the start of the 2016 An Post Ras in May.

The Wallace Caldwell saw BCC riders, Aaron Swan, Brendan McCavana, Ryan Wallace and Steven McAllister competing in the 75 mile challenge. This coming weekend is the Tour of the North and the BCC 5 man team of Swan, Wallace, McAllister, McKeown and Bankhead will line up for the first 30 mph stage around Kirkistown on Friday.
