Kane is primed for Provincial debut

RODNEY Kane is will make his debut for the Provincials in the IBA Inter-association Championship, at Musgrave, on Friday, May 28.

The Dunluce player has been drafted into Ian McClure’s rink at second, with Aiden Reid and Gary Kelly, also featuring.

Young guns Robert Allen, from Portrush, and Ballymoney’s Aaron Tennant, are included in the reserve panel for the first time.

The Provincials begin their campaign against the Private Greens League on Friday, May 28.

They are scheduled to line out against the NIBA on Saturday morning before going head-to-head with title holders, Bowling League of Ireland later in the day.

Players must report to Musgrave Park at 5pm. Any player not available, including reserves, must inform convenor of selectors, Jim Hagan (02871268473) or (07816580207).
