The sponsors were Valerie Malcolmson,Suzanne Murfit, Jacinta Rooney and Kathleen Smyth as 21 pairs played.

The next round is Royal County Down August 8th.

Runners up were Helen Smyth and Liz Armstrong.

Exceptional score reduction awarded to Karen Curran and a reduction in handicap from 19 to 18.

Tuesday 31st May was The Challenge Cup stroke competition. The sponsors were Bernie Cunningham, Vera Wildridge, Maryjo Thompson and Jane Doyle.

Section A (0-22) winner was Alana Gartland net 70.

section B (23-29) winner was Anne Cromie net 69.

Section C (30-36) winner was Lorna Poots net 76

Overall winner was Ann Blevins with a net 67.

Handicap reductions - Ann Blevins 26 down to 25.

Lorna McKinstry down to 24 from 25 with an exceptional score reduction.

Team News

The Challenge cup team were beaten in Letterkenny.

However, the Intermediate team had a good win over Enniskillen and will meet Warrenpoint in the next round.

The GUI Mixed team playedMannan Castle at Warrenpoint and won.

The Cowdy Cup play their next round against Lurgan on Thursday 9th June.
