“I am so pleased that my effort and commitment over the last few months has paid off with selection to the Irish U18 team,” said Kathryn.

“I am looking forward and really excited for highly competitive games against England, Russia and Germany.”

Colleague Kerrie was equally thrilled.

“I wasn’t expecting to make the final selection, getting a trial was an achievement in itself,” she said.

“Making the final squad is a great achievement personally and I can’t wait to see how we do against the best teams in Europe for my age.”

The Lurgan club are delighted with their selection as both girls are products of the very successful youth system at Lurgan Ladies.
