FOYLE Paddlers have just announced their first two kayaking courses and now is your chance to receive expert coaching from Northern Ireland's premier canoe/kayaking club and winner of the 2010 CANI League. Be prepared for some of the most memorable evenings you will experience this year.

Explore the scenic North West coast. Marvel at some of our unspoiled local cliffs, beaches and wildlife from a sea kayak during this exciting 5-week course. The course starts tommorrow (Thursday) night, meeting at the Prehen Boathouse at 6pm. No experience is necessary and all age groups and fitness levels are welcome.

You could become the next ‘Ray Mears’ following completion of Foyle Paddlers next Canadian Canoe or Open Boating course. Participants will begin the course on the majestic river Foyle, learning the various strokes and boat handling skills.

You will get the opportunity to paddle under Craigavon Bridge, past the city and perhaps under the Foyle Bridge on towards Culmore Point. Later in the course we may visit Enagh Lough and take a trip from Farland bank to Inch Castle.

This course starts next Tuesday, May 4, also meeting at Prehen Boathouse at 6.30pm. No experience is necessary and again all age groups and fitness levels are welcome. The cost of this 4-week course will be 60/person, which includes all coaching trips, hire of boats and all equipment.
