AFTER eight minutes of the match between Glenarm and Carrickmore at Feystown the scores were level at four points each, but a goal by Kevin Cottrell saw the home side stamp their authority.

Glenarm continued to peg on further points, but two goals for Eire og brought them to within a point.

With five minutes of the half remaining, a Barry Hamill goal and five more points opened up an eight-point half-time lead. 2-14 to 2-06.

Two early second-half goals for Kevin Cottrell gave the tall full forward his hat-trick and the Glenarm men forged ahead to beat a very gutsy and spirited Carrickmore team.
