Killymoon drawn against Linfield

Linfield v Killymoon Rangers

THE second round draw for the Corporate Insurance Cup threw up the biggest game in Killymoon Rangers' 40 year history when they were drawn to meet Irish League giants Linfield at Windsor on Saturday 18 September.

There is no bigger game than the one against the current Irish League and Cup holders at Northern Ireland's national stadium.

In recent years the club have faced Portadown in the Ladbrokes.com Championship and also entertained Glentoran in three friendly fixtures in Cookstown, but this will surpass even that.

The club will be running supporters' buses to the game, as well as organising a breakfast at the Royal Hotel for players and supporters on the morning of the match. The bus and breakfast will cost 10 each with OAPs and under 12s half price.

Fixture Update

With no competitive fixture last two Saturdays Killymoon will return to league action this Saturday when they travel to Annagh United, kick-off 3pm. The following Saturday Killymoon entertain Armagh City in the 2nd round of the Bob Radcliffe Cup.

The reserves suffered a heavy defeat last Saturday at home to Ballyclare Comrades 2nds, when they went down 7-0. Manager Phil Gray will be expecting a positive response this Saturday when they entertain Newtownabbey 7s.

Table Quiz

Killymoon Rangers will be holding a Table Quiz in Brewery Lane Bar, Cookstown on Saturday 4 Sept at 8pm. 5 per person and a max. of 6 per team. 1st prize 100 with 10% of proceeds going to children's heartbeat trust N.I. Buffet and Raffle on the night.
