Kilrea Manor mourn loss of Philip McIntyre
PHILIP McIntyre, owner and Honorary President of Kilrea Manor Golf Club, passed away at the weekend.
The Captain, the committee and the members extend their deepest sympathy to the entire family circle and wish to express their appreciation for all the help and support which Philip extended to the members over the lifetime of the club which he opened 20 years ago.
It was his brainchild to form a golf course alongside the restaurant using the parkland attached to the Manor House which he had purchased from the Sisters of Mercy.
The club was affiliated to the G.U.I. in 1994 and the whole Manor House complex is a fitting tribute and legacy to his entrepreneurial and imaginative skills.
