Kirkwood takes the President's Day plaudits

DAVID Kirkwood held his President's Day at Bushfoot Golf Club last Saturday.

A total of 107 golfers took part in the bright sunshine.

Winning the president’s prize and putter was Winston Kirkpatrick (25) with 43 points.

The runner-up was David Cartmill (27) with 42 points and third was Mervyn T Greer, playing off 41 points on a better back nine.

The best gross score of the day came from Trevor McKendry with a round of 70.

The first nine prize was won by Brian Hume on 24 points. The second nine winner was Robert McLaughlin on 22 points (better back three).
