Kyle is champ of Ulster and Leinster
YOUNG Kyle Magee from Cullion conquered all-comers at the Ulster Under 11 Badminton championship in Lisburn recently.
The talented nine-year-old is also the Leinster champion and has joined his older brother Mervyn on the Ulster Under 13 team.
The P5 pupil - who attends Bready Jubilee Primary School - also won the boys’ doubles and mixed titles in both Lisburn and Dublin. Kyle, aged 9, alongside big brother Mervyn, aged 12, has this year been selected for the Ulster U13 badminton team.
They have already travelled to Manchester to play in the Team Challenge in which they won the regional heats and are now through to the finals which will be held in March.
