Ladies bounce back with win over PSNI

LARNE Ladies firsts bounced back from last week’s first league defeat in 18 months against Kilkeel to record a resounding 5-1 victory over PSNI on Saturday.

PSNI opened the scoring inside the first five minutes before Chloe McIlwaine evened things up. And while there was no further score before the break, Larne were the dominant team.

In the second-half and Zoe Purdy gave them the lead followed by Lauren Smythe strike.

Purdy got her second and Larne’s fourth later in the game and midfielder Ruth Dalton rounded things off nicely when she notched up the fifth 10 minutes before full-time.

Coach Dodsworth was pleased with the performance which means Larne sit in the top three of Senior Two.
