Ladies going through their paces for 2010/11 campaign

PREPARATIONS for the new hockey season are now underway at Banbridge Ladies Hockey Club.

Training commenced on August 2 with Head Coach Simon Jess putting the ladies through their paces on Monday nights from 7pm at Havelock.

All members new and old are encouraged to attend.

Banbridge Ladies are looking to build on last season’s results and a good turnout at training is the basis of success on the pitch and all current members are asked to attend. The Club would also welcome any new members, particularly goalkeepers.

A number of practice matches will be scheduled for the forthcoming weeks to help prepare the Ladies for what will be another challenging season which begins mid-September. A demanding programme is being organised and the Club will be hoping to select large squads to help develop the teams.

Banbridge Ladies Hockey Club aims to field three senior teams again this season plus the Junior teams and all the teams will be hoping to build on last seasons results and further improve performances going forward.

Club members are also reminded that the BLHC Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday August 16 2010 at 7pm at Banbridge Hockey Club prior to training. All members are encouraged to attend.

Keep up to date with news about training sessions and the club on the website at www.bannladieshc.co.uk or on the club page on Facebook.
