Ladies notes

THE Autumn League sponsored The Beer Shop Bin 66 by is now well underway in Banbridge Golf Club Ladies Section.

Conditions have proved very difficult over the past few weeks however overall scoring remains high.

This year the teams have been named after breeds of dogs. After two weeks the leaders are the Labrador’s with a total of 16 points, closing followed by the Cocker Spaniels with 15 points.

In equal third place are the Jack Russell’s and German Shepherds with 13 points each; in close contention are the Dalmatians with 12 points and the Dobermans with 11. Slightly off the lead at present are the Boxers and the Corgi’s however with five weeks still to go do not discount any team.

The overall weekly winners have been:

Week 1: Helen Smyth, Valerie Malcolmson, Alana Glass

Week 2: Marlene Nelson, Liz Armstrong, Lorna Poots
