Ladies open bowling season

With the green in excellent condition a fine game was expected and this is how it turned out. On Rink 1 the Dromore four did not allow their visitors to settle and quickly raced ahead to establish what appeared to be a winning position. The Castle Park four had other ideas and launched a mighty comeback over the remaining ends. At the finish Castle Park had edged ahead by 1 shot.

On Rink 2 the position was reversed. The home team lost 4 shots on the first end resulting in them having to dig deep to halt determined opponents. From the halfway position the home Rink took command winning eventually by

15 shots.

This was a good performance by the locals who will have to face this level of competion each week in the revised league structure. The 4 league points gained was a good reward.
