On Sunday March 10, the girls in blue will be playing in their final home game of the season.

Coming off a bittersweet defeat at the hands of Sligo in this year’s Ulster Qualifying Cup final, the Ballymoney Ladies will be eager to show the form, at home, that has seen them top this season’s Ulster Qualifying League
to date.

Although the Kilraughts Road-based team have already defeated Letterkenny twice this year, there is no doubt that their game on Sunday will be one against formidable opponents and complacency will have no room on the pitch in this match.

Being the final home match of the season for the girls, the team would like to encourage as many people to come along to Ballymoney R.F.C. on Sunday to provide support for the girls in blue.

Ballymoney’s captain, Gill Powell, said: “We would like to see as much support as can be mustered for the girls. Being our last home match of the season, and possibly my last game before I hang my boots up, it would encourage the girls to dig that little bit deeper.

“So, if you are free on Sunday afternoon at 1pm why not come over to the Rugby Club and enjoy a game of ladies rugby? I know the team and I would really appreciate the support. Team Toon for the win – Ho Ha!”
