Lagan Valley BC host their President’s Day

Lagan Valley Bowling Club held a successful President’s Day on Saturday 19th September, when over 30 members enjoyed the afternoon.

On the green Wilfie Benson’s rink of Sheila Buchanan, Abe Savage and Peter Gaffney were successful.

Following refreshments the club trophies were presented as follows:

The Lady President, Susan Milburne, then presented a cheque for £1,100 to her chosen charity, Child line NI, which does sterling work regarding children issues in Northern Ireland.

An event was held at the Lisburn Leisureplex Bowling Green on Saturday 1st August this year which was well attended by many from the City’s local clubs and was a fine day for the outdoor bowls game.

Susan would like to thank the club members and the many local sponsors who contributed to this magnificent effort.
