Largest turnout since start of Wilkinson Races

THE 12th Helen Wilkinson Memorial Race was attended by the largest number of athletes since it's inception.

Athletics coach Michael McGreevey organised the races.

In the junior race the girls section was won by Laura Greer with second place going to Rebekah Nixon and third to Anna McNeill.

The boys section of the race was won by Timothy McCracken with David Pyper in second and Adam McDonald third.

The senior race for the Helen Wilkinson Memorial Cup was won by Ian Cardwell with Ryan McDermott and Ben Branagh second and third respectively. Well done to all the runners who took part.

After refreshments were served John Wilkinson presented the trophies. Thanks were expressed to Michael for organising the races, the athletes who took part, the courteous staff of Dromore Leisure Centre and the many friends who helped to ensure the smooth running of the event.
