Lark in the Park Rally on thisSaturday

The River Ridge Recycling Lark in the Park 2014 will be being covered by RPM Motorsport and it will be broadcast on UTV and Motors TV in the weeks after this year’s event which takes place this Saturday in Londonderry.

The programme, a one hour special, will also cover a story of a member of the Foyle Hospice team who will be teaming up with experienced driver Joe Gallagher to experience rallying for the first time.

The 2014 Lark in the Park will again be bringing rallying to the people, with the service area again based in Ebrington.

The event will a family fun day alongside the rally, with bouncy castles, clowns, face painting and much more including Cullen’s Funfair also being onsite throughout the day.

Action in the ‘Park’ kicks-off from 12noon this Saturday when the crews competing return from the new demanding road stage taking place just over the border in the An Grianan area, where they will tackle a stage previously used on the legendary Donegal International Rally.

The Maiden City Motor Club is planning a wonderful day of motor sport, where top local drivers in fabulous cars, demonstrating their skills around the twisty St Columb’s Park lanes.

Special attention being paid to providing superb and safe viewing areas for spectators and families alike.

The organisers have selected local charity Foyle Hospice again to benefit from the proceeds of the event.

With an entry fee to the event having been set at £5 per family, this being part of a donation to be made to the Foyle Hospice and the local community is asked to help to support what continues to be a great cause.

So make this Saturday an important date in your diary for some high speed action with the whole family taking an interest.
