Larne AC beginner evenings to continue

LARNE Athletic Club's popular series of beginner evenings is to continue throughout the summer months.

Last April, the club launched an innovative scheme to encourage people of all abilities to become involved in running by introducing a series of evenings for beginners.

There has been such an interest in these evenings, with large numbers participating, that the club has decided to keep them going. Many of the participants have now progressed into main club training sessions, having attained increased fitness levels and running capacity.

The evenings are free of charge and will be held every Tuesday evening idefinately. They will be supervised by qualified coaches whose aim is to provide the necessary help, advice, encouragement and motivation.

Anyone over the age of 16 who considers themselves to be either a fun runner, has an ambition to become a serious runner or purely wants to run to improve their fitness, is warmly invited to attend these training evenings.

From May 4 and during the summer months, the meeting place for the beginner evenings will be Drains Bay car park, every Tuesday at 7pm.
