Nine Larne Athletic Club members were among almost 15,000 runners taking part in the 33rd Dublin Marathon last week. Despite the cold, and at times breezy conditions, several ran personal bests.

John McManus recorded 3:15:50, ahead of David Noble, who ran 3:37:17. Ruth Harrison (3:37:59) produced a notable performance, while Elaine Hall returned to the marathon distance, running 4:06:29. John McCann, who ran a strong race, finished in 4:12:21 before Declan McGaughey, running his first-ever marathon crossed the line in 4:18:43.
