Larne junior parkrun up and running

The first Larne junior parkrun got ‘up and running’ on Sunday with a new weekly free 2k at the Town Park.

The event is aimed at kids aged four to 14, and is for all abilities. There were plenty of smiling faces on show as 85 children took part.

A core team of local volunteers give up every Sunday morning to ensure this event operates for everyone, every week.

Any child is welcome and come and join in every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.

The core team would like to thank the Public Health Agency, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and Actavis who have all supported the event, along with team mentor Maria Glenn.
