Larne Youth presenttheir annual awards

MORE than 350 boys and girls. their parents, sponsors and guests attended Larne Youth's annual prize night on Friday night in a large marquee at the Olderfleet Bars.

The master of ceremonies for the evening was Esler Burke.

Chairman Nat Woodside congratulated those who took part and the teams that won silverware. He added that everyone at the club is delighted that The Cliff complex and commended the “excellent partnership” formed between Larne Youth and Seacourt Community Council.

Among the award winners were the Under 17 squad who won the South Belfast League Cup; the Under 11s who won the Greater Belfast Invitational Shield; the Under 13 East Antrim team who defeated Ballyclare Colts in the Plate Final; the Under 13 East Antrim team who won the Plate Final and were beaten Knock-Out Cup finalists (most improved player, Ryan Hardy); and the National League Under 13s, who as 2009 NI Boys’ FA Cup winners represented Northern Ireland in the All Ireland Rocara Festival of Champions in Dublin and came out winners;
