Late rally earns Garvey five points

Lisnagarvey were five shots winners at home to Lurgan in NIBA Division One.

But they left it late to take the five points, though they had a few regulars missing.

They were behind most of the way with Neil Mulholland the only rink always up, but with Philip Cromie and Keith Morrison playing the last ends Garvey were a shot down before they lifted six shots.

A five and two threes helped Neil Mulholland to a 13-12 lead at the tenth and a three at 15 ends put Garvey 18-14 up before they won by six shots.

Down 2-8 at the eighth Ivan Craig was 6-13 adrift at 15 ends but came back over the closing ends though losing by five shots.

A three and a five helped Philip Cromie to an 11-4 lead at the seventh, but Garvey dropped four and five to go 14-20 down at 15 ends. They lost by six shots.

A three helped Keith Morrison to an 11-6 lead at the tenth but it was 13-13 at 15 ends and a three and a four helped Garvey to a ten shots win.
