THE use of preferred lies has stopped allowing appropriate competitions to regain handicap qualifying status. This will cause handicap adjustments to occur and members are reminded that each player is ultimately responsible for his own handicap.

Annual Matchplay Competitions

Draws for The Sloane Cup, The Twigg Cup and The President’s Trophy have been made and are posted on the notice-board adjacent to the list of handicaps. All participants are equally responsible for arranging matches which must be played on or before the deadlines shown on the draw sheets.

Members should also read details of the procedure, introduced last year, which will be used in the event that a suitable date for a match can not be agreed.
