League blow for Lambeg Parish

Lambeg Parish received a huge blow in their fight to stay in the Roy Kennedy Fuels Indoor Bowling League Section B, when they failed to claim a point in a 47 shots defeat by St Colman’s Lambeg.

They are now rooted to the bottom, while the win moved St Colman’s to sixth place.

A three and a seven helped Lawrence Long to a 14-0 lead at the fifth and he added a four to win by 21 shots with Robin Campbell failing to score.

A four helped James Burns to an 8-0 lead at the fifth and he added three, two three before J. Boyd managed a “no score” at the last end to lose by 16 shots.

At the fifth Steven Kirkwood led 4-2, but Frank Agnew won the remaining ends to win by four shots.

At the fifth Gary McWilliams led 5-3 and he added three, one before Maurice Kirkwood lifted a double but lost by six shots.
