Cliftonville striker Chris Scannell was one of the current stars at the recent Carling Presents night at Solitude and he really enjoyed the response from the fans.

“We had so much fun and banter at Solitude and talked about everything from our best goals, most memorable moments on the pitch to our opinions on management. Our evening was rounded off with Cliftonville songs, photographs and plenty more off the record chat, washed down with a couple of pints of Carling!

Aisling Duffy, Carling Marketing Manager, is delighted with the success of the events.

“We created the Carling Presents evenings to help the fans get closer to legends and star players in the Carling Premiership and have had such a positive response so far with full capacity registered for each event. At the last event before Christmas we even had fans queuing up to get in!”

Geoff Wilson, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Irish FA, is delighted with the success of the events. He said: “Both Carling and the IFA have worked tremendously hard to make these legends evenings happen, and we are continuing to get the fans closer to their heroes with the Carling Mega Match Days at each Premiership ground in the coming weeks.”
