Lisburn ladies fall in Dundalk

Winners of the Ladies Triples, Jean Parkinson, Ruth Neely and Dorothy Kinghan from Eglantine.

Lisburn are out of the IIBA Ladies Inter Zone Shield following an 11 shots defeat away to Oriel in Dundalk on Saturday.

Lisburn can be happy with a good performance against a strong Oriel team, who won the Cup last season.

The men make the same journey tomorrow (Saturday) in the Men’s Inter Zone Cup and they will face a tough challenge.

Mixed rinks finalists

The final participants in the Lisburn Zone mixed rinks has been decided.

At Hillsborough Presbyterian, Laura Scales, Seymour Hill; Laura Holdsworth, Nathan and Nick Haire, all Hillsborough Social won their way through.

The winners at Eglantine Parish were Maureen Wilson, Muriel McCandless, both Pond Park; Houston Dillon, John Mackey, both Soldierstown.
