Lisburn RFC mini section conquer Wales
TWO U11 teams from Lisburn RFC Mini Section recently travelled to Shotton RFC in Wales to participate in the Welsh International Festival of Rugby over the weekend of April 10-12, competing against clubs from Ireland, Wales and England.
After playing some excellent rugby the Lisburn U11 Giants returned with the U11 Festival Cup, winning all their matches in the process.
The Lisburn Lions overturned a 3-0 half-time deficit, playing some excellent rugby to win the Challenge Cup 4-3, thus ensuring Lisburn U11s came home with the top two trophies in their age group.
This is an outstanding achievement for all the boys who participated and congratulations to all involved.
