Local angler lands massive shark on fishing trip

Ballymena angler Thomas White certainly hooked a big one when he landed this monster 350lbs shark during a fishing trip from Red Bay with angler Hamish Currie.

The Gallaher employee fought for over an hour with the shark, which was tagged and released after photos were taken.

Thomas caught the shark using a live 3lb cod as bait the shark was caught off the Scottish coast, west of Islay in the Inner Hebrides.

With a surname like his, maybe Thomas will be known as ‘Great’ White from now on!
